School Retreats

Dozens of schools visit Bryn Mawr Mountain Retreat and Conference Center each year for outdoor experience, team building and character development programs. We have developed longstanding relationships with many of these schools, and students and teachers alike have found kindred spirits among our staff. Returning students rush off the buses looking for their favorite facilitators, and the legends of previous years' Bryn Mawr retreats are passed down from class to class.

Our head facilitator will work with you to customize a program that will meet your school retreat needs. Many of our schools opt to devote a significant portion of their time at Bryn Mawr to our team building programs. These programs are designed to challenge and help students learn teamwork, leadership, problem-solving and critical thinking skills. Our goal is that students are able to apply these skills back in the classroom as well as in everyday life.

Team building programs are particularly beneficial for groups in transition. For example, an age group that is together for the new school year or ninth graders preparing to embrace the upcoming challenge of high school. It is a fantastic opportunity for your students to bond and grow together.

Bryn Mawr can accommodate either an overnight retreat or a day trip. We will work together to customize the program to your needs.

Testimonials
“On behalf of my faculty, colleagues and over 160 students, I want to thank you for once again making our Peer Group School Retreat so memorable. The most frequent comment we heard was, It should have been longer! You treated us like special guests, ever willing to accommodate our needs. Thank to all of you for giving our program such a positive start to the year.”
