Team Building

Bryn Mawr’s teambuilding program employs adventure activities, group initiatives, and facilitated discussion to help your team develop and hone group cohesion and effective problem-solving skills.  Your group’s teambuilding experience is aimed at improving morale, breaking down communication barriers and strengthening bonds between members.

Our philosophy is based on two important components: Experiential learning and challenge by personal choice.  We encourage participants to reach beyond their personal boundaries.  We also believe each group member should be able to choose his or her own appropriate level of participation and risk.  Under the guidance of our facilitators, participants will be able to take the lessons they learn on the ropes course and apply those new skills and ideas in real-life situations.

Teambuilding will help your group:

  • Establish an environment of fun and learning
  • Improve interpersonal relationships
  • Build and gain trust through character development
  • Develop new skills
  • Create lasting memories

Adventure Challenge Facilities

Our T.E.A.M.S. low ropes course includes twelve different elements that help groups learn to process challenges together, laying the foundation for improved teamwork and communication.  As your group traverses islands, swings across treacherous swamps and defuses imaginary bombs, participants will not only be having a blast — they’ll be learning how to work together in new, effective ways.

Our High Ropes Confidence Course offers individual participants seventeen unique and challenging elements that will present new skills to master and opportunities to determine where their personal best can take them.

Our ultimate challenge, The Gauntlet, is unique to Bryn Mawr and puts your team’s ability to work together to the test.  Participants must support one another on a half-mile obstacle course, tackling a new challenge at every turn — including a few surprises our facilitators will throw in to encourage your team to rise to the occasion by meeting new experiences head-on, ready to engage in some creative problem-solving.

In addition to high and low ropes, climbing programs and The Gauntlet, we are pleased to offer other unique group challenges, including orienteering, campfire cook-offs, and our own “Norwegian Hootenanny” boat-building adventure.
